About George

Growing up as an only child in North Dakota in the 1960’s, I spent a lot of time alone. I had a table in the corner of the living room of our apartment where I would lose myself in drawings. I spent a lot of years as an actor, as well as inhabiting an art studio. I dedicated myself to making art. I love drawing from the figure and from nature, and I love painting landscapes, skyscapes, and abstracts. I have my BFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Arizona in Tucson, and my MFA in Painting from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. After living in Eastern Massachusetts for almost 40 years, I have now settled in Northeast Pennsylvania, where I am inspired daily by my beautiful surroundings.
